Job Summary: |
As a key member of the St. Andrew’s Club and Conference Centre team, event staff is to provide prompt, efficient and courteous food and beverage service to the patrons of our facility |
  |
|
Responsibilities:
|
- Provide the best customer service for our clients
|
| |
- Prepare and set room as per the clients requests (function sheet) and instructions
|
| |
- Greet patrons and provide efficient food and beverage service
|
| |
- Provide a consistently high standard of service in areas such as meal service, set-ups, turnovers, tear-downs and all service functions related to event
|
| |
- Participation in department meetings, pre-shift meetings and any other meeting as requested
|
| |
- Adhere to all environment polices and procedure as required
|
| |
- Servers/bartenders will use good organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, willingness to improve work techniques and a willingness to learn to show enthusiasm and great care when dealing with all clients, external and internal
|
| |
- Servers/Bartenders will practice the smart serve training and Ontario liquor laws when serving all alcoholic beverages
|
| |
- Servers/bartenders will maintain a clean and safe work environment for team mates
|
| |
|

Skills Required: |
|
| |
- Minimum 2-5 years experience in a similar food and beverage environment
|
| |
- Self-motivated and team player
|
| |
- Displays high initiative and requires minimal supervision
|
| |
|
| |
|
| |
- Well groomed, mannerly, co-operative and outwardly friendly (team-oriented)
|
| |
- Proper etiquette is adhered to when serving
|
| |
- Sound knowledge of wines and wine service is an asset
|
| |
|

Job Summary: |
Ensure the prompt and efficient service of all food and beverage to the required standards. |
  |
|
Responsibilities: |
|
| |
- Meet with Event Manager and Event Coordinator weekly to go over each event
|
| |
- Maintain ongoing communication with Manager of Events and Coordinator regarding staff, clients, maintenance of event related activities
|
| |
- Ensure that servers, bartenders adhere to the St. Andrew’s dress code, are always correctly and smartly dressed, that they offer professional and courteous service to their customers. Responsible for informing Event Manager and Coordinator if staff are not appropriately attired or late
|
| |
- Ensure that bars and cloakrooms are clean and stocked with the stipulated requirements
|
| |
- Act as closing manager as required including sending ‘Event Update post shift to Event Manager and Event Coordinator”, closing tasks, and lock up of venue
|
| |
- Ensure that company and statutory hygiene standards are maintained in all areas
|
| |
- Attend to customer complaints in a timely fashion and that these complaints are communicated to the Events Manager and Events coordinator immediately
|
| |
- Take all necessary steps in the event of an emergency
|
| |
- Ensure that reports and administration requirements are submitted in a timely fashion
|
| |
- Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Back of the House Department when running the event in terms of client request and banquet event instructions
|
| |
- Attend meetings as required
|
| |
|
